OFF THE ROCK CYCLES

Find your starting point.

Use measurements and the exact model’s size chart to choose a bike with confidence.

Measure first

Start with your height and inside leg, then check the actual model.

Compare the bike

Frame size alone doesn’t tell you how a bike will feel.

Try it with us

Bring your measurements and we’ll help narrow down the options.

A size chart is a starting point. Frame shapes and intended riding positions vary, so a medium in one range may not feel like a medium in another. Always use the chart for the exact model and year you are considering.

Two useful measurements

  1. Your height. Measure without shoes, standing upright against a wall.
  2. Your inside leg. Follow the measurement method requested by the manufacturer’s size guide; this helps make the comparison consistent.

Send the measurements with the model name when asking us about a size.

If you are between sizes

A longer frame and a shorter frame can feel quite different even if you can set the same saddle height. Discuss the riding position, how you reach the brakes and how you get on and off. Avoid relying on a single frame dimension or choosing a larger bike simply because it is available.

For younger riders

Check the child’s current height and the manufacturer’s guidance, then consider their ability to start, steer, brake and stop confidently. A bike bought mainly to grow into may be difficult to control now. Wheel diameter alone does not tell the whole story.

Confirm before buying

Bring your measurements and shortlist to the shop. We will help you compare the options and discuss sizing and setup.
