Information you give us
If you contact us, we receive the details you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, telephone number, message and information about your bike. Purchase and repair records may also include the item, work agreed, payment status and correspondence. Please do not send payment card details in a message.
Why we use it
We use enquiry and order information to respond, arrange purchases or workshop work, and provide the service requested. Where this is needed to take steps at your request or fulfil an agreement, our basis is contract. We retain required business records to meet legal obligations. Managing correspondence, protecting the premises and dealing with disputes may involve our legitimate interests, balanced against your rights. Where we ask for consent, you may withdraw it.
Browsing and contacting us
The basket remembers product selections on your device. It does not store your name, contact details or payment card information. The website does not offer a newsletter or member account. See cookies and browser storage for more information.
WhatsApp, telephone and map links open services you choose to use. A prepared WhatsApp message is not sent until you send it. Those services handle information under their own privacy notices. Website hosting and communications providers may process technical or contact information to operate their services.
Sharing and keeping records
We use information with service providers where needed to run the shop and fulfil your request. A warranty claim or scheme purchase may require relevant details to be shared with the manufacturer or scheme provider. We may also disclose information where legally required. Ask us about the recipients and any overseas processing relevant to your request.
We keep records for as long as needed for their purpose, taking account of legal obligations and unresolved claims. Different records require different periods. CCTV is used for security at the shop; ask us for details of the footage relevant to your visit.
Your choices and rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or transfer of your information, and object to certain uses. These rights have legal limits. Contact the shop to make a request or raise a concern; we may need enough information to verify your identity.
You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. You do not have to contact us first.
Contact enquiries
When you use our contact form, we store your name, email address, optional telephone number, topic and message in the shop’s private enquiry inbox. Staff use these details to respond and manage your request. Messages are not published through Ghost, included in our catalogue or sent to Google Analytics. The form does not subscribe you to marketing emails.
Enquiries are accessible only to authorised staff. We keep enquiries while handling your request and afterwards only where needed for a related purchase, aftercare, a legal obligation or a possible dispute. Retention depends on the purpose of the correspondence and the relevant record-keeping or claim period. Contact the shop to request access, correction or deletion. Archiving does not delete a message: archived messages remain private and can be recovered by staff.
Website analytics
Google Analytics is optional and loads only after you accept analytics cookies. It helps us understand page visits, product interest and whether the contact form was successfully submitted. We exclude form contents and URL query strings from tracking. You can reject analytics or change your choice using Cookie preferences in the footer.
